A Memorable Tour of Washington DC

Have you ever had a once-in-a-lifetime, memorable experience? What if you could be a part of creating a memorable experience to make connections to our government & history for students? You can make a difference today.

History Day is not just a day…it's EVERYDAY. History is an integral part of our lives and the students who participated in National History Day (NHD) this year did an incredible job on their projects focusing on the theme “Frontiers in History: People, Places. Ideas”. Students, teachers, and family members will be traveling to Washington DC to participate in the National Contest this June.

Everyone attending is truly excited for our first in-person NHD contest since 2019. All the students attending have been working so hard to prepare their projects.

Part of our role as the Affiliate Coordinator is to make the whole week an experience for the students. We have reservations for a Capitol Tour and to meet our Senators, as well as tickets for several of the museums. This is the first time many of our families (and likely the only time) will be in Washington DC and we are hoping to make it the best experience possible with a tour of the city, including the monuments around DC.

While the families have made all their own travel accommodations, we are raising money to set up a Washington DC tour day for our National History Day Students.

Please consider making a donation to support the students having this opportunity to explore our nation's capital. Money will go towards transportation and other expenses for the experience.
