Q & A with Laura-Ann Moore

What brought you to NVCCE?

When I was a freshman in high school, the seniors at the time did a We the People Showcase where they had a mock competition. I knew from that moment that I wanted to take the class as a senior.

What do you love most about the work you do with our civic engagement programs?

I love the feeling of learning something new. Everyone you work with, whether it's volunteer coaches, teachers, or other students, has something new to teach you. I learned SO much throughout my time in WTP. For example, I learned the ins and outs of the writ of habeas corpus, and I also learned how to coordinate my strengths with others so we can be strong as a team.
