QnA With Mrs. Brande Johnson

What brought you to NVCCE?

I thought it would be a great opportunity to learn about new resources to bring to my small rural school.

What do you love most about the work you do with our civic engagement programs?

I love seeing my students learn about the Constitution and be able to debate different stances. I love watching them find their voice and you start to see glimmers of who they will be as adults. I just love watching them find their political voice.

What is your vision of NVCCE in the future?

My vision for NVCCE in the future is to increase civic engagement across the state. My goal is that every school in the state will be using We The People, History Day and Project Citizen in order to promote civic engagement.
