Annual Social Studies Conference
20 years ago, a small group of dedicated teachers joined together to improve instruction across Northern Nevada. The Northern Nevada Social Studies Council was the result of that effort. While the focus has been on Social Studies instruction, teachers from many other content areas have enjoyed the conferences over the years.
The Nevada Center for Civic Engagement is a proud sponsor of this event and we hope to see you there.
This years conference will be a two part event starting with a NNCSS and WEA hosted reception at the McKinley Arts and Cultural Center on April 19th from 4:30PM-7:30PM. The CEO and Editor of the Nevada Independent, John Ralston, will be giving a Keynote Address.
The conference will take place Galena HS for a continental breakfast and breakout sessions from 8:00AM-12:30PM on April 20, 2024. Attendance at both events earns 1/2 In-Service Credit.
