Show your Support of NVCCE through Active Engagement in our Legislative Process
SB285, a bill to support NVCCE Programming, had its first committee hearing on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. As the bill continues to move through the Legislative process, we need your support of our work, and here is how you can help.
The Nevada Legislature has an award-winning program called “NELIS”. This program allows you to show your support for our bill virtually.
We need your help to show how our programs have impacted you, why it's important that they continue to be supported. How they can help others by growing our reach across the state.
Step 1: Click on the button and scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see the hyperlink that says “Submit Opinion or View Opinion States for SB285”
Step 2: Use the pull-down menu for your position to “SUPPORT”, then enter all your information. This shows the legislators who in their area supports the bill. All legislators can see these so they can see the overall support in the state.
Step 3: You can sign up to track our bill (and any others you might be interested in following) for free in the NELIS system. You can track up to 10 bills with the free account; you can also easily see how many letters of support have been submitted for SB285.
