Meet the People: Laura Flynn

Laura Flynn participated in the We the People program during the 2020-2021 school year. She competed in units 3 and 5, and her class earned 8th place in the National Competition. Additionally, Laura was an officer for the National Honors Society and captain of both her soccer and softball teams.

Because of Laura’s involvement in We the People, she decided on a double major in criminal justice and psychology.

What brought you to NVCCE?

My engagement in the We the People program.

What do you love most about the work you do with our civic engagement programs?

The information I learned about the mechanisms in our democracy, and what I can do to impact the policies and legislation in our country.

What is your vision of NVCCE in the future?

I hope that the NVCCE will extend into every public school in order to promote civic engagement and voter participation.
